Hairline Transplant
Hairline Transplant – Frontal Hair Transplant
A receding or uneven hairline is one of the first and most noticeable signs of hair loss. A frontal hairline transplant rebuilds the leading edge of your hair with single-follicle precision, restoring a natural, age-appropriate frame to your face.
The basics
What is a Hairline Transplant?
A hairline transplant is a procedure that restores or reshapes the frontal hairline — the part of your hair that frames your face and is most visible to others. Using the FUE technique, individual follicles are harvested from a donor area at the back of the head and implanted one by one along the new hairline.
Because the frontal hairline is so prominent, it is the most technically demanding area to get right. Dr Bonaros plans and performs every stage himself, designing a hairline that looks completely natural and suits your age, face shape and long-term pattern of hair loss.
The FUE method
Benefits of the FUE Method
Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is the modern gold standard for hairline restoration. Rather than removing a strip of scalp, follicles are harvested individually, which means no linear scar and a far easier recovery. The key benefits include:
- No linear scar — only tiny, virtually invisible extraction points
- Minimal discomfort and a faster recovery
- Natural, undetectable results placed one graft at a time
- Suitable for refining and rebuilding the frontal hairline
- Performed personally by Dr Bonaros from start to finish
Imperfection is Key
A perfectly even hairline is a giveaway that it is not natural. Subtle irregularity, with sentinel hairs and a soft transition zone, is what makes a transplanted hairline undetectable.
Lower is Not Always Better
It can be tempting to set the hairline as low as possible, but a hairline that is too low looks unnatural with age. We design a position that will still look right in twenty years’ time.
Long-Term Perspective
Hair loss is progressive. We plan your hairline and use your donor supply with the future in mind, so the result remains balanced as any further thinning occurs behind it.
Balancing Your Hairline with Your Facial Features
The right hairline is the one that suits your face. We consider your forehead height, facial proportions and bone structure to create a hairline that looks like it was always meant to be there.
The procedure
How a Frontal Hair Transplant is Done
A frontal hair transplant is a carefully staged, single-day procedure carried out under local anaesthetic. Here is what each stage involves.
Your hairline is designed and agreed with you, the donor area is prepared, and local anaesthetic is administered for a comfortable, pain-free procedure.
Individual follicular units are harvested one by one from the donor area using the FUE method, leaving no linear scar.
Grafts are sorted by the number of hairs they contain and kept in optimal conditions to maximise survival before implantation.
Each graft is placed directly into the hairline at the correct angle, depth and direction to create a natural, seamless result.

Frequently Asked Questions
Questions, answered
Dr Bonaros designs an age-appropriate, irregular hairline that frames your face and is planned to age well over time.
In suitable candidates the hairline can be brought forward, balanced against your donor supply and long-term loss.
Yes. The leading edge is built from single-follicle grafts for a soft, undetectable transition.
Early growth begins around three to four months, with the full result developing over 12 to 18 months.
We assess your pattern and future loss carefully, as a conservative design protects your result as you age.
FUE leaves no linear scar, and tiny extraction points in the donor area fade and are hidden by surrounding hair.
Yes, restoring symmetry to temples and the central point is one of the most common hairline procedures.
The relocated follicles are resistant to balding, so a well-planned hairline lasts for life.
