What needed to be addressed?
Standard FUE requires shaving the donor zone, which would have been immediately visible to the patient's colleagues and clients. He needed a technique that allowed extraction while leaving the surrounding hair long enough to conceal the donor sites from day one — without compromising the quality of the final result.

Surgical intervention
1,900 FUE grafts (approximately 3,900 hairs) extracted using the unshaven FUE technique, leaving surrounding hair intact to cover the donor sites. Procedure duration extended by approximately one hour compared to standard FUE. Graft placement into the recipient zone identical to standard technique.
Non-surgical treatment
Topical Minoxidil applied from week three post-procedure to encourage dormant follicles and support the existing hair surrounding the transplanted area.
Results
The outcome
The patient returned to work on day four with no visible evidence of surgery. The transplanted hairs shed at three weeks as expected, and early regrowth was apparent from month three. The final result at twelve months was equivalent in quality and density to a standard FUE outcome — permanent, natural-looking hair restoration.
