Male patient, 41 years old. Norwood 5 pattern with significant crown thinning and near-transparent vertex. Mid-scalp density reasonable. Donor zone assessed as adequate for the proposed graft count.

What needed to be addressed?
Crown procedures are technically demanding because the natural whorl pattern at the vertex requires grafts to follow precise directional angles — any deviation is immediately visible once hair grows. 2,800 FUE grafts (approximately 6,100 hairs) placed in a concentric pattern following the natural swirl. Multi-hair follicular units centrally for density; finer single-hair units towards the periphery for a graduated, natural-looking blend.
Non-surgical treatment
Finasteride prescribed to stabilise any ongoing diffuse thinning and protect the non-transplanted hair surrounding the treated area.
